Andrew S. "Drew" Miller
Areas of Practice
 | Drew Miller is a partner in the firm’s Austin office where he practices environmental, water and general regulatory law. He regularly represents industrial and commercial entities, political subdivision, and individuals in litigation, compliance, enforcement, permitting, and due diligence matters. He is particularly experienced in guiding clients through Texas' brownfields redevelopment programs and in lawsuits involving contaminated property.
Prior to joining Kemp Smith, Mr. Miller was an Assistant Attorney General with the Texas Attorney General’s Natural Resources Division. While at the Attorney General's office, Mr. Miller defended state agency decisions and rules in state and federal courts, and did environmental enforcement on behalf of the State of Texas. Prior to his governmental work, Mr. Miller was an associate with the Washington, D.C., office of Piper & Marbury, where he focused on environmental litigation and compliance counseling. As a member of the Love Canal team, Mr. Miller helped defeat New York State's $250 million dollar punitive damages claim in that landmark case.
