Kemp Smith attorney Forbes appointed to ABA Standing Committee on Government Affairs
Kemp Smith attorney Tomas A. Forbes has been appointed to the American Bar Association Standing Committee on Government Affairs by the President-Elect of the ABA, H. Thomas Wells, Jr. of Birmingham, AL. ABA Governmental Affairs Office (GAO) serves as the focal point for the Association's advocacy efforts before Congress, the Executive Branch and other governmental entities on diverse issues of importance to the legal profession. The 11-member committee concentrates its advocacy efforts on the Association's Legislative and Governmental Priorities that are selected annually by the ABA Board of Governors.
Mr. Forbes is a partner in the firm's Business Department. His practice concentrates on strategic advice and advocacy regarding public and government affairs.
