Labor and Employment Department partners Charles C. High, Jr. and Clara “C.B.” Burns were presenters at the State Bar of Texas 18th Annual Advanced Employment Law Course held in Dallas, Texas. Mr. High spoke on “Damages: How to Get High/Low Verdicts.” Ms. Burns presented on updates pertaining to the matter of Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA).

Business Department partner Allan Goldfarb was a presenter at the University of Texas at El Paso 2010 Estate Planning Conference for Women. Mr. Goldfarb’s topic was “Transfer Taxes in Estate Planning.”

Business Department partner Gene Wolf was the featured presenter at the recent El Paso Estate Planning Council meeting in El Paso, Texas. He spoke on “The Estate Tax- Where Are We Now?” Mr. Wolf was a recent contributor to the Texas Tax Lawyer. He authored “Family Limited Partnerships: An Estate Planner’s Guide to Understanding basic Tax Allocation Provisions.”

Litigation Department partner Jeanne C. "Cezy" Collins authored "Is a Trademark Infringement Action a Good Idea?" The article appeared in the January 11, 2010 edition of the Texas Lawyer.
