Areas of Practice

Jason Hungerford is an associate in the Litigation Department and primarily practices in the areas of commercial litigation and appeals. Mr. Hungerford joined the firm in September 2009.

Prior to joining Kemp Smith, Mr. Hungerford served with the Minnesota Court of Appeals as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Natalie E. Hudson. Jason was also a Summer Law Clerk for Chief Justice David Wellington Chew at the Eighth District Court of Appeals, and a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Philip Martinez at the Federal District Court for the Western District of Texas.

Jason was honored with the Dorothy O. Lareau Award for Best First Year Brief in law school and participated in the Civil Rights Moot Court program. In his third year of law school, Jason served as a Certified Student Attorney in the Appellate Division of the Ramsey County Attorney’s Office in St. Paul, MN. Before law school, Jason was the Assistant Director for The Center for Law and Border Studies at the University of Texas at El Paso.
