Kemp Smith LLP, El Paso’s largest law firm is pleased to announce that , , and from Ryan & Sanders, LLP will join the firm’s Corporate and Business Department as of December 1, 2011. Mr. Ryan, Ms. Sanders and Mr. Johnson will join as partners and Ms. Timmons will be of counsel to the firm. 

Carl Ryan’s practice principally involves estate planning, probate and trust matters, as well as exempt organizations, foundations and related charitable issues. He is Board Certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization of the State Bar of Texas and a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. He is also a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the Academy of Probate and Trust Lawyers, the El Paso Probate Bar Association, the El Paso Estate Planning Council and the El Paso Bar Association. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America and as a Texas Super Lawyer. Mr. Ryan was named Best Lawyers’ 2012 Trusts and Estates Law Lawyer of the Year for El Paso, joining four other Kemp Smith attorneys who were also recognized in their respective fields. He is a member of the McDonald Observatory and Department of Astronomy Board of Visitors of the University of Texas.

Amy Stewart Sanders’ practice principally involves estate planning, probate and trust matters. She is Board Certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization of the State Bar of Texas. Ms. Sanders is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the El Paso Bar Association, the El Paso Women’s Bar Association, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, The El Paso Estate Planning Council and is a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. She is listed in The Best Lawyers in America and as a Texas Super Lawyer. Ms. Sanders is currently the President of the El Paso Child Guidance Center and is a member of the Executive Forum of El Paso. 

Terry L. Johnson’s practice principally involves real estate. He is board certified in Commercial Real Estate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization of the State Bar of Texas and is a member of the Bar in Texas, New Mexico and Alaska. He is listed in the Best Lawyers in America in the practice area of Real Estate Law. Mr. Johnson is active as a board member and chairman of the audit committee of The NMSU Foundation.

Kerith R. Timmons’ practice primarily involves estate planning, probate and trust matters. Ms. Timmons is a member of the El Paso Young Lawyers Association, the El Paso Bar Association, the El Paso Women’s Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the American Bar Association and the El Paso Estate Planning Council.
