Randy Taylor is an associate in the firm's Trial Department. Prior to joining Kemp Smith, Randy clerked for the Honorable Carmen E. Garza, Chief United States Magistrate Judge for the District of New Mexico.
Randy received his B.A. in Government, along with Minors in Ethics, International Relations, and Political Theory, from New Mexico State University. Randy graduated from NMSU with Distinction in University Honors (summa cum laude) and cum laude from the University of New Mexico School of Law.
While in law school, Randy served as Managing Editor of the New Mexico Law Review and competed on the school's American Bar Association National Appellate Advocacy Competition team, winning the Best Brief Award at the Brooklyn Regional. Randy also won the Raymond W. Schowers Writing Prize in constitutional law. Finally, Randy participated in the Business and Tax Law Clinic serving low-income individuals and businesses in tax and other corporate legal matters.
