Kemp Smith is pleased to announce Amy Rodriguez has joined the firm as an associate in the Public and Environmental Law Department in Austin, TX. The focus of her practice will be environmental litigation. She received her Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Economics from Wellesley College and her J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin School of Law.
Amy is a supervising attorney for UT Law’s Texas Environmental Law Journal and an incoming author on the Border Issues chapter in the Thomson Reuters Environmental Law Treatise.
Prior to joining Kemp Smith, Amy represented various agencies in state and federal courts as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Texas. During law school, she held summer law clerkships in two federal government agencies and a national non-profit. Amy funded these public interest clerkships through fellowships for the Justice Center, Rapoport Center, Texas Law, and the Hispanic Bar Association.
