Kemp Smith LLP is pleased to announce Leonel Ruiz has joined the firm as an associate. His practice will be focused on defense of employment related lawsuits.
A native El Pasoan, Leonel received his Bachelor’s Degree with honors from the University of Texas at El Paso triple majoring in Political Science, Psychology and Creative Writing. He received a Masters Degree in Secondary Education from Arizona State University and is a graduate of the University of Texas School of Law.
During law school Leonel was editor in chief of The Texas Hispanic Journal of Law and Policy, he served on the board of The Chicano Hispanic Law Student Association. He was part of the UT Law Interscholastic Mock Trial Team and participated extensively in moot court.
