Overview

Blade M. Allen is an associate in the firm's Trial department. His primary area of practice area is civil litigation, concentrating in medical malpractice litigation.

Blade's practice focuses on civil rights litigation and government liability. Since entering practice in 2023, he has represented government entities, public employees, private companies, and national insurance carriers in complex litigation involving constitutional claims, tort liability, and high-exposure civil disputes. Blade has successfully managed matters from initial investigation and case strategy through discovery, dispositive motion practice, mediation, trial, and appeal. He has advocated for clients in both state and federal courts in New Mexico and Texas. In addition to his courtroom and litigation experience, Blade has participated in several jury trials and understands the strategic demands of presenting and defending cases before both judges and juries.

Blade earned his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Mexico in December 2018. Blade also earned his J.D. from the University of New Mexico in May 2023. During his time in law school, Blade served as a Manuscript Editor of the Natural Resources Journal and won the top prize in the American Bar Association Criminal Justice Section’s 2022 William W. Greenhalgh Student Writing Competition.
