Kemp Smith is pleased to announce Elisa Samaniego has joined the firm as an associate in the firm's trial department.
A native El Pasoan, Elisa received her B.B.A. in Finance and International Business from the University of Texas at El Paso. She attended Louisiana State University Paul M. Herbert Law Center on a full tuition scholarship and graduated from LSU Law with her J.D. and Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law.
During law school, Elisa interned at the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas and the Executive Office for Immigration Review. Elisa also participated in the STAR (Sexual Trauma Awareness and Response) Clinic and the Immigration Law Clinic. She received a CALI award for her work in the Immigration Law Clinic. She was the co-founder of the Hispanic Law Students Association and the president of the Immigration Law Association. During her second year of law school, Elisa studied at Universite Jean Moulin in Lyon, France, and earned a Graduate Diploma in European and International Business Law. She is on the board of Sociedad Cultural de Espana and volunteers for the Sun Bowl Association.
