Kemp Smith is pleased to announce Paulina Almanza has joined the firm as an associate in the Corporate and Business department. Her practice focuses on guardianship, probate, and elder law, with an emphasis on protecting vulnerable individuals. Paulina provides legal counsel to clients on a wide range of probate and guardianship matters, including capacity-related issues, adult and asset protection, and estate administration.

Before joining Kemp Smith, Paulina founded and managed Almanza Terrazas PLLC, representing clients in consumer and real estate matters, including class actions and breach of contract litigation. She also served as an Assistant County Attorney for Travis County and as a Staff Attorney with Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid.

Paulina earned her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Texas at El Paso. She is admitted to practice in Texas, California, and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas. A native Spanish speaker, Paulina is dedicated to expanding access to justice in her community.
